ReefPilot Terms of Use
Terms of use for the ReefPilot: Aquarium Care iOS app, including subscription terms and AI guidance disclaimers.
These terms govern your use of the ReefPilot: Aquarium Care app for iPhone and iPad ("ReefPilot", "the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Informational Guidance Only
ReefPilot provides organizational tools and AI-generated care guidance for aquarium hobbyists. All guidance — including Copilot care plans, tank photo analysis, parameter targets, and health scores — is informational only. It is not veterinary, medical, or professional advice. You are responsible for final decisions about your aquarium and livestock, including water chemistry, dosing, and animal welfare. Never rely on the app alone when an animal's health is at risk; consult a qualified aquatic veterinarian.
ReefPilot Pro Subscriptions
- ReefPilot Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription available in weekly, monthly, and yearly plans. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your Data
Your tank records are stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining device backups. See the ReefPilot Privacy Policy for details on how AI features handle data.
Acceptable Use
You may not abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app's AI service, or use it for any purpose other than aquarium care within the app.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app, including livestock loss, equipment damage, or data loss. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of ReefPilot after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
